FAQS
A Company-Wide Guide to Products, Standards, Quality & Global Supply
This FAQ provides general information about our company, product scope, manufacturing practices, quality control, standards, and global supply capabilities. It is designed to help buyers, installers, distributors, and project partners better understand electrical conduit systems and how we operate as a manufacturer.
We specialize in the manufacturing and supply of electrical conduit systems and related accessories. Our product range focuses on metallic conduit solutions used to protect and route electrical wiring in commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
For more information please check "About Us" page
We operate as both a manufacturer and a trading company.
Our manufacturing roots date back to 1995, when our factory, Hangzhou Francis Plastic & Hardware Co., Ltd., began producing EMT conduit and related accessories.
In 2004, we established our trading company to expand into international markets, supplying American standard and British standard conduit systems to customers across North America, South America, the Middle East, and Asia.
As our business continued to grow, our manufacturing entity was renamed Hangzhou Francis Conduit Industries Co., Ltd. in 2012, reflecting our expanded product scope and industry focus.
Today, we operate four factories with in-house production facilities, covering the full manufacturing process—from raw material processing and forming to surface treatment, quality inspection, and export supply. This integrated structure allows us to maintain consistent product quality, reliable compliance with standards, and stable delivery control for global customers.
Our product scope includes electrical metallic conduit systems such as EMT, IMC, rigid steel conduit similar to ITCC, Wheatland, and Western Tube, flexible conduit, and a wide range of conduit fittings similar to Topaz Fittings, accessories, and supporting components used in electrical installations.
We supply products to multiple international markets, including North America, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia. Our products are designed to meet different regional standards and project requirements.
Electrical conduit is a protective tubing system used to route and safeguard electrical wiring. It helps prevent mechanical damage, moisture exposure, and fire risks, and is commonly required by electrical codes in commercial and industrial installations.
The main types include EMT (Electrical Metallic Tubing), IMC (Intermediate Metal Conduit), rigid steel conduit, and flexible conduit. Each type differs in wall thickness, strength, installation method, and application environment.

EMT is a thin-wall conduit designed for lightweight and efficient installation, typically used indoors. IMC has a thicker wall and offers higher mechanical strength. Rigid steel conduit has the thickest wall and provides the highest level of physical protection.
Commercial and industrial projects often use a combination of EMT for indoor wiring, IMC for areas requiring higher strength, and rigid steel conduit for harsh or high-impact environments.
Yes. We supply a complete range of conduit fittings and accessories, including connectors, couplings, straps, elbows, boxes, and related components designed to work with different conduit systems.
Yes. It is common for large projects to use multiple conduit systems together, as long as the installation complies with applicable electrical codes and standards.
Our conduit products are manufactured in accordance with applicable standards such as ANSI, CE, ISO, IEC, depending on the target market and application requirements.

Yes. We supply conduit systems that comply with IEC standards, which are widely used in international markets such as Latin America, the Middle East, and parts of Asia.
To learn more about IEC standard, please check IEC Standard
UL standards focus on safety and performance requirements commonly used in North America, while IEC standards provide international classifications based on mechanical strength, impact resistance, and environmental performance.
Compliance is ensured through controlled manufacturing processes, material selection, dimensional inspection, surface treatment control, and verification against applicable standards for each destination market.
Certified conduit products help simplify project approval, inspections, and acceptance by authorities, inspectors, and project owners, reducing compliance risks during installation and operation.
Zinc coating protects the steel surface from corrosion by acting as a barrier between the steel and the surrounding environment. It helps extend product service life and maintain surface integrity.
We had a great article about zinc coating and please check it: Understanding Zinc Coating
Zinc coating thickness refers to the amount of zinc applied to the steel surface and can be measured in microns or coating weight. Common measurement methods include magnetic thickness testing and coating weight tests.
Pre-galvanized conduit is made from zinc-coated steel before forming, while hot dip galvanized conduit is coated after forming by immersion in molten zinc. Hot dip galvanizing generally provides thicker and more durable corrosion protection.

From a manufacturer’s perspective, quality control includes raw material inspection, dimensional control, wall thickness monitoring, surface treatment checks, and in-process inspections at multiple production stages.
Before shipment, products are inspected for dimensions, surface condition, coating quality, and packaging integrity to ensure they meet specified standards and customer requirements.
Yes. We support OEM and private label cooperation, allowing customers to supply their own branding, labeling, and packaging requirements based on project or market needs.
Products can be customized to meet different standards, specifications, packaging formats, and labeling requirements for various regional markets.
We support long-term cooperation through stable production planning, consistent quality control, and coordination with customers on project schedules and supply requirements.
Normally, our lead time is 4 ~ 6 weeks, but some certain times such as the end of the year will have longer lead time, but we will always inform you before placing an order.
We have multiple brand, include ALEX, FUJIYA, DUPRO, and so on
Yes, we are actively seeking distributors in many regions worldwide.
However, in some key markets, we already work with established and successful distributors. In these cases, we are committed to protecting our existing partners and do not appoint additional distributors in the same territory.
If you are interested in becoming a distributor, you are always welcome to contact us to check whether a distributor is already in place in your region. We will be happy to review your location and discuss potential cooperation opportunities accordingly.
